This is the biggest festival of the Adis, particularly of the Gallongs, a sub- tribe of Adis of Arunachal Pradesh.
Held in the months of Lumi and Luki (i.e., March/April and May) is an agricultural festival. Mopin is goddess of the harvest and is worshipped to avoid poor harvest.
Therefore she is being appeared with sacrifice. The kebang (assembly) held in the dere (village community house) decides who will supply the mithuns and pigs for sacrifice and the rite is known as Yudum.
