Here is your short paragraph on Gangaur Festival:
This Rajasthani festival falls in the month of March/April and is held about a fortnight after Holi in honour of Parvati, the consort of Lord Shiva.
Young damsels are gaily attired on the occasion with gracefully balancing brass pitchers on their heads. They wend their way to the temple of Gauri (Parvati) for the ceremonial bath of the deity who is then bed-decked with flowers.
In their prayer to Gauri, they desire husbands such as one Parvati was blessed with. The festival comes to an end with happy note, with the arrival of Shiva to escort his bride Gauri home, accompanied by caparisoned horses and elephants.
